Neighbors,

Last Sunday, I stopped by the Electric Vehicle (EV) Showcase at George Mason University, hosted by Sierra Club Virginia Chapter and the Faith Alliance for Climate Solutions. It was quite something to see the variety of EVs that are now available! I was especially proud to see an EV Fairfax Connector bus there (photo with City of Fairfax Mayor Catherine Read and Tom Reynolds with FCDOT). The county recently unveiled our first Connector battery-electric buses – another important step in the county’s ongoing efforts to promote sustainable public transportation. Eight battery-powered buses are now part of the Connector fleet, with another eight on the way by 2025. Learn more. We also have an EV trash truck, with more coming!
