Principal's Points
Good Afternoon St. Stephen families,

The cooler weather is here and so is the midpoint in our trimester. We have been in school for six weeks and now is a good time to review your child's progress in all their classes. Take the time to look at the FACTS Family Portal with your child and discuss how he or she is doing. If you have questions or concerns, please reach out to your child's teacher.

Since the weather is cooler, we will go back to our regular uniform. Beginning on Monday, students should only wear their PE uniform on the days they have PE. This is also a good time to review the handbook regarding uniform requirements. It is important that all students wear solid black shoes whether they are in regular uniform or PE uniform. This includes the sole of the shoe. Black shoes with white soles are not acceptable. Every part of the shoe must be black. Socks must also be a solid color void of any logo. Colors and styles of socks are explained in the handbook.

We were very busy here at school this weekend installing the AC enhancement units in both buildings and treating the playground for mosquitoes. A big thank you goes out to Allen Odell, former facilities manager, who drove our AC purification systems down from North Carolina so we could have them as soon as possible. He also remained all weekend to help with the install. We are grateful to everyone who made this happen!

Today we announced the winner of our Elementary Grades Time Machine Book Fair Door Decorating Contest. The winner was 3A with their very clever "Portal Potty" design. Check our Facebook page for pictures of all the doors.

Please read all of Tidbits as there is much exciting news being shared. Don't forget tomorrow is a Noon Dismissal. As always, thank you all for your continued support.

Peace and Blessings,

Linda Umoh

If you have an interest in joining this team, please contact Mrs. Robles with your availability and area of expertise.
Public Library Haal Pass
Haal Pass allows our students to access public library resources with just their student ID number and Pin. Students will use their student ID number (from FACTS) and their password of 4321 to log into the HCPLC.org site. This allows them to check out physical copies of books as well as digital books, audiobooks, and any other materials available from the public library. Students can also use this account to check out ebooks on Overdrive or Libby, the digital reader programs used by the public library.
SSCS Library Access
Students can now check out books from our school library! Students can sign into our library catalog using Destiny Discover and put books on hold. Books will be delivered to their classrooms after being checked out. Flexible learning students can have their books picked up at the front office.

Virtual Book Fair
You still have time to read a good book with your children and imagine how it was to live during Medieval Times or see things the way a Charioteer saw them in the 5th century C.E. Books can take you and your students on all kinds of amazing adventures.
Visit the SSCS Time Machine Virtual Book Fair, ends 10/8.
