October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Chamber's Women in Business (WIB) Council presents our speaker, Heidi Garland, a breast cancer survivor and advocate for the American Cancer Society. She is a top fundraiser who works to increase awareness and fund cutting edge research. She is a wife, mother of two sons and the owner of Guild West, a digital marketing firm. As a 14-year survivor, Heidi epitomizes the survivor movement. Not only is she surviving she is thriving in her role as a 'Making Strides Against Breast Cancer' Ambassador. Heidi’s personal mission is to transform cancer from deadly to treatable and from treatable to preventable.

The WIB Council hosts informative, inspirational events on the first Wednesday of even-numbered months.

Come join the SVC Chamber team in the Santa Clara Parade of Champions. Our group of board members, ambassadors, and members (like you) will walk together led by a fancy car. Our team will be dressed in a western theme celebrating the American spirit! You can bring a sign or a poster showcasing your company and service to the community.



The parade is the longest running, most inclusive Parade and Festival event in the history of Santa Clara; celebrating our Champions, community and front-line heroes since 1945!
