Jordan School District CNG Bus Release
Jordan School District now has the largest fleet of natural-gas fueled school buses in Utah.

The district, which covers much of the Salt Lake Valley’s south end, added 36 new CNG — or compressed natural gas — buses to its transportation department Wednesday, September 12th, 2018.

 It now has a total of 105.

FUN FACT: That is almost twice as many as the Utah Transit Authority operates.)

Business and Basketball:
Listening Session
Utah Clean Cities has been hosting a series of Advanced Fuel Listening Sessions through out the summer and this autumn.

This Jazz past basketball game workshop brought good conversation together with the technical facilitation of National Renewable Energy Laboratory, NREL expert, John Gonzales. The anonymous collection information will assist future research to further technologically advance alternative fuel in Utah and the nation.

Volkswagen Settlement Grant Applications are OPEN
The application period to apply for Class 4-8 vehicle or engine replacements and/or light-duty, electric-vehicle charging equipment funding is now open. Please go to vw.utah.gov to apply.

The application process will be open through November 30, 2018.

Government entities as defined in Utah Code §63G-7-102(4) and federal government agencies are eligible to apply.

Emily Paskett - Project Manager

A through and through Utahn, Emily grew up on the slopes of the Wasatch Range. She graduated from the University of Utah focusing on Urban Ecology and Sustainable Environmental Studies. Prior to joining Utah Clean Cities, she worked with local nonprofit organizations around the valley and has helped develop and implement successful project furthering great organizations.
