While many are on to the next celebration ~ decorating their homes with ghouls & autumn harvest and planning for what spooky creature they’ll dress up as for Halloween this year, we may be conscious that there are only 5 paycheques left before the holidays!! As inflation continues to take a bite out of our daily cash flow and economic and political uncertainty continues to flood the news, we need to focus on how best we can survive the next 10 weeks without blowing our budget or going into debt. Housing Market Halloween Traditions: Playing Pranks Playing pranks is a part of pre-Halloween tradition, but can vary greatly around the country. For example, "Devil's Night", or "Mischief Night", is hardly known on the West Coast, but quite popular in the East. It is thought that good-natured mischief started as part of May Day celebrations, and carried over to Samhain (the Celtic celebration of the harvest), and eventually All Souls Day. The tradition was brought here by Irish & Scottish immigrants.
