Did You Know...
That at Extended Day we purposefully and deliberately provide several choices of activities for your children every day? Giving them choices helps them feel like they have power and control over what they do, and this is a big step in growing up. We offer STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math), literacy, active play, creative expression, camps, clubs and dramatic play every week. Your child is able to choose from these options based on what sparks his/her interest!
September Highlights
We have had a lot of fun getting to know the children who are new to the program, and getting caught up with those who have attend in the past. The children are making new friends and getting reacquainted with friends they already knew!
Highlights of the month included learning and practicing the routines and expectations of Extended Day, The Super Hero set up in our Dramatic Play area, and checking out the Daily Specials. The weather was decent most days so we had the opportunity to spend plenty of time outside and go on nature walks.
