As of January 1, 2014, you have control of what you contribute to your chapter.
Each member has the option to provide direct financial support to their chapter, at any time, in any amount. The automatic, set chapter fee is no longer a requirement

A Message from AMTA-NJ Board President - Earline Fair-Edwards

I had the honor and the privilege along with other members of our AMTA-NJ Chapter to represent New Jersey at the AMTA National Convention 2017 in Pasadena, California.  The excitement of the convention was  exhilarating.
The opening ceremony featuring world-renowned health and fitness expert Shaun T, was priceless.  Shaun T  encouraged all attendees to put their self-care first.  He explained that "you can't give on empty."  It is important we take care of our mind, body and soul to be able to enjoy life and reach our potential.
Shawn Achor spoke at the closing ceremony  inspiring positive change with the "Happiness Advantage."  Shawn is a leading expert on the connection between happiness and success.  Shawn shared the most inspiring closing remarks I have ever heard.  His words brought tears to my eyes as he asked us to love ourselves and let go of the past.
Our very own Angelina (Angie) Wilkinson was awarded the AMTA Meritorious Award this year.  Angie, who is so deserving of this honor, was presented with the award during the AMTA National Opening Reception.
We you be attending our AMTA-NJ Chapter-hosted continuing education event this November?  This is an event you do not want to miss.  See details below.

ACE MASSAGE CUPPING™ THERAPY LEVEL 1
VacuTherapies ™ are an incredible modality that can be added into any massage or health care practice.  This 14 Continuing Education (CE) course includes education in theory and application of ACE Massage Cupping™ therapy, along with demonstration of both basic and advanced techniques and treatments using manual vacuum tools.  ACE Massage Cupping™ greatly enhances the benefits of massage, decreases strain on the practitioner, and increases revenues through "add-on" services.
This ancient tool has been adapted for bodywork and is powerfully therapeutic for many conditions. ACE Massage Cupping™ is effective in addressing conditions such as:  inflammation, tissue congestion, movement restrictions, scar tissue, chronic pain, and many pre and post-surgical conditions. It is also proven itself to be effective in athletic performance enhancement and medical weight loss programs, including bariatric surgery.
This versatile technique mimics massage movements ranging from deep tissue and myofascial release to the light pumping movements of lymphatic drainage.  Used regularly, ACE Massage Cupping™ therapy is a terrific approach to promoting wellness for your clients.
Cupping supplies will be provided, however you may bring your own cupping supplies. Please bring massage tables, sheets and towels. Dress comfortably.
To receive certification for Level 1 you must take the exam on the Ace Cupping website. Information will be provided in class.
Don't delay! Registration will close November 14, 2017.
