I hope this email finds you well as we start October.
With high schools kicking off in-person learning today, we had our last “first day of school’ and with increasing uncertainty. One school has already been shut down but let’s hope it’s the last. Hopefully, we don't see a second shutdown. So please keep your distance, your hands clean, and your face covered.
If not, schools won’t be the only thing closed,Restaurants that are barely hanging on will also end up closed. I don’t think it's possible to overstate how important this is. If you don’t believe me check out State Comptroller Dinapoli’sreport on the thousands restaurants, hundreds of thousands of jobs, threatened by this pandemic.
On that note, I'll suggest that you scroll on down for more information; and enjoy the rest of your Thursday and maybe listen to a song that is fitting for today’s date.
P.S Please forgive any typos or brain freezes in the text as I get these updates out in haste at the end of the day, and if there is a community-centric item you think I should know aboutplease reach out.
