Greetings and Happpy Fall!

The 4 R Kids Early Childhood Iowa Area board has posted the FY17Annual Report. The Board is responsible for administering $1 million
in state funds, here is a brief overview of the results; there were 327
families that participated in family support services who increased
their knowledge about child development; 312 child care providers that
participated in professional development opportunities that helped
grow their child care business, 161 children received preschool
tuition assistance which prepared them for school and 621 children received dental screenings which will assist with healthy

The Iowa 4 R Kids Early Childhood Area Board is seeking applicants who want to help children age 0-5 grow, learn and prepare for Kindergarten. With the state financial resources, our twelve member board awards Early Childhood grants to ensure young children will be healthy and successful. 
Board membership is available  to residents who reside or work in Adair, Dallas, Madison, or Warren County, and do not directly or indirectly receive funds from the Board. For more information download the 4 R Kids Board membership application or contact the ECI Director,  Debra Schrader.

Do you know someone that is 18 or older, seeking a job, not currently working in health care, and lives in Dallas, Warren or Polk County?  There is a program that will assist with more than 15 job options that work directly with patients, including home health aides, personal care assistants, nursing assistants, laboratory technicians, medical assistants pharmacy techs, vocational nurses, surgical technologists, or registered nurses. The program provides free education and training, free coaching, help with transportation and child care. To find out more call 515-645-6201.
OUCH! Training
Do you struggle with keeping silent in the face of demeaning and hurtful stereotypes? 4 R Kids ECI and Boone/Dallas DCAT & CPPC is providing a free interactive 1 hour session to learn useful, easy-to-learn phrases and skills for speaking up effectively against bias and stereotypes, October 25, 2017 from 12:00-1:00 at the Waukee Church of Hope in Waukee.  To register go here.
