Residents are invited to a District 1 Town Hall with Councilmembers Mia Prier and Hillary Shields. The come-and-go event will give residents an opportunity to connect directly with City leaders, discuss ideas, learn about upcoming projects and services, and share feedback on community needs.


Attendees are encouraged to bring questions, share perspectives and take part in meaningful conversations about the future of Lee’s Summit.

The Town Hall will be streamed live on YouTube.

Missouri Good Neighbor Week encourages Missouri citizens to participate in events and activities to establish connections with their neighbors. Organize events, recognize outstanding neighbors or simply reach out to those around you.

Organize a Neighborhood Cleanup

Gather your group of do-gooders and help clear litter from our community. Please register the street or area that will be cleaned. You will be contacted to coordinate where the full trash bags will be collected.

Coloring Contest

Deadline Oct. 7, 5 p.m.


Pick up coloring sheets at City Hall or print them at home. Drop off your coloring sheet at City Hall by Oct. 7 at 5 p.m. or post a photo of your artwork on social media and tag the City with the hashtag #mogoodneighborweek.

The City and Community Blood Center are hosting a fang-tastic blood drive Oct. 7 from 1–5 p.m. at Green Street Market. All presenting donors will score a free Kansas City Chiefs t-shirt. No tricks, just treats!

Stream Team

Volunteer for Stream Team and help protect our local stream-side habitats by removing litter and debris from streams within the City’s parks. Trash bags and gloves are provided. Student and scout community service hours are available. Prizes are awarded for the most unique items collected!

Permit Work Requiring Ramp Closure(s)


The ramp from View High Drive to westbound I-470 is closed for continued permit work involving roadway improvements and the installation of a diverging diamond interchange. The ramp from View High to eastbound I-470 and the westbound I-470 ramp to View High Drive are now open.

Lee's Summit Airport Rebrand


The City has officially rebranded the Lee’s Summit Municipal Airport to Kansas City – Lee’s Summit Regional Airport, a change that reflects its role as a key regional gateway for business and leisure travel. The new brand and refreshed look enhance the airport's identity within the Kansas City metropolitan area, underscoring its significance as an economic driver connecting the area to regional and national markets.


In conjunction with the renaming, the airport’s Fixed Base Operator has been officially branded as Summit Aero, aligning with the refreshed airport identity, while continuing to provide the airport’s consistent and reliable full-service FBO aviation support. The new FBO, located in Hangar 2, will offer a modern passenger waiting area and lobby, full concierge service, pilot lounge, flight planning area and observation deck.

Farmers Market Harvest Festival

Get ready to celebrate the fall season with the Downtown Lee's Summit Farmers Market. Enjoy live music from the Lee's Summit Symphony, shop for pumpkins and bring your kids fall crafts. The first 150 customers will receive a free 2025 insulated market tote bag!
