Dear MedChi Members and Maryland Physicians:
The Department of Health and Human Services has announced the disbursement of another $20 billion in CARES Act Provider Relief Funds.
Physicians that have already received Provider Relief Fund payments may apply for additional funding for pandemic-related financial losses.
In addition, relief funding is now available for behavioral health care providers, including psychiatrists, in recognition of the continuous care provided through telehealth and other means by behavioral health providers in the wake of increased anxiety and depression due to the pandemic.
Applications for the additional CARES Act Provider Relief funding will be open from October 5 through November 6.
