Holy Moment Prompts
Holy Moments
Holy Moments Created Last Week by St. Peter Families and Students:
***The Carel Family brought breakfast and cards to a family member who had their knee replaced.
On Saturday a 7th grade student was at the grocery store, an elderly lady had a bag of dog food in her cart, he went over to her and said “mam may I load this into your car for you?” Then he put her cart away for her.***
WWJD?? He would create a Holy Moment!! Jesus would create Holy Moments through love, forgiveness, prayer, blessings, caring for the sick, feeding the hungry, seeking God, fleeing from temptation, reading the Bible, and going to Church.
What is a Holy Moment? A Holy Moment is a single moment in which you open yourself to God. You make yourself available to Him. You set aside personal preference and self-interest, and for one moment you do what you prayerfully believe God is calling you to do.
How can families participate?
- Parents and guardians, talk to your children about Holy Moments and why you think that Holy Moments are important.
- Brainstorm and write down as many ideas for Holy Moments as you can think of to do as a family or individuals at school or work.
- Try your best to perform a Holy Moment everyday.
- Talk about your Holy Moment as a family.
- Share your individual or family Holy Moments with Mrs. Garner through email: sgarner@stpeterjc.org.
- Holy Moments shared with Mrs. Garner will be posted in the School Newsletter. This can be anonymous if the family/student chooses.
- Those families/students who share their Holy Moments will receive a choice item from the Holy Moments treasure box that includes small fun items/snacks.
- Each month a family will be drawn who submitted a Holy Moment and that family will receive a $25 script card of their choice.

This year, our school is undergoing its five-year accreditation process, and we invite you to participate! On November 11, 2024, at 5:30 p.m., we’ll hold a meeting in the school cafeteria to review the standards, and we’d love your help.
There are many ways you can contribute during this important process, such as:
- Providing snacks and drinks for the visiting accreditation team
- Assisting with accommodations for the team
- Creating a video with audio highlighting our school
- Sharing your input through surveys which will go out next week
If you're interested in helping, please get in touch with Felicia Hubble fahubble@gmail.com, our self-study coordinator. Your participation makes a difference! We anticipate the time commitment of serving on the self-study committee to more than 2-3 meetings.

My husband, Zeke, and I were married in December 2015. We have two sons, Teddy (6) and Frankie (3), and two spoiled labs, Morrison (10) and Remy (5 months). We are members of St. Peter Parish.
I teach advanced tap dance classes at Dancers’ Alley in my free time and enjoy gardening, kayaking, and hiking with my family. On the top of my bucket list is to visit all of the parks, sites, memorials, etc. managed by the National Park Service, so in the summer, you can find me road tripping across the country!

Sunday School for Ages 2-5/Kindergarten
Sunday School for Ages 2 through 5 is held during the 10:00 a.m. Mass starting October 6th.
Parents and grandparents are invited to bring their children to the preschool building at 9:45 and pick them up immediately after Mass.
Children will learn about God’s love, pray together, play, and have fun in a safe and creative environment. A Sunday school registration form must be submitted before children are enrolled in the program. This will allow us to have adequate staffing and supplies.
All volunteers undergo a screening interview and a criminal background check, read and sign the Code of Conduct, and must be certified in “Protecting God’s Children,” the diocesan safe environment training program. For more information, contact Gayle Trachsel at gtrachsel@stpeterjc.org.
