All-School Program Day—This Wednesday!
This Wednesday, every grade level will step beyond the classroom for a day of purpose, exploration, and growth, living out our Carondelet mission of heart, faith, courage, and excellence.
Our Freshmen will take part in Frosh Day of Service, a beloved tradition and cornerstone of our community service and advocacy program. Following in the footsteps of our founding Sisters of St. Joseph, who “divided the city” to serve their neighbors, the Class of 2029 will volunteer across the East Bay, from Mindful Littles to White Pony Express and The Crayon Initiative, contributing more than 600 hours of service and embodying what it means to serve the dear neighbor without distinction.
Our Sophomores will dive into our first-ever Career Fair, a brand-new initiative designed to help students begin discovering their unique gifts and the many paths that await them. We’re thrilled to welcome Carondelet alumnae and parents from a wide range of professions who will share their journeys, insights, and advice. In preparation, students have been exploring their strengths and interests through career and personality reflections in Religion class.
Our Juniors will demonstrate their determination and focus as they sit for the PSAT, a key milestone in their college preparation journey.
And our Seniors will participate in virtual College Counseling Workshops, continuing their path toward college and beyond with guidance, reflection, and confidence.
It promises to be a day full of purpose, discovery, and Cougar spirit!
Warmly,
Elizabeth Chaponot, Ph.D.
Principal for Academics

Carondelet Shirts on Friday
On Friday, October 17, we will be filming a special tribute to our CSJ sisters and we'd like our students in Carondelet spirit wear. All Carondelet students should wear Carondelet tops. They can wear regular Friday dress on bottoms.
Please Don’t Idle While Waiting for Your Student
As a reminder, we ask all families to turn off their engines while parked on campus or on the neighboring streets during afternoon pick-up. Idling (keeping your car running while stopped) creates unnecessary air pollution that affects both our environment and the health of those nearby. Our Arkell Road neighbors have shared concerns about the exhaust and air quality during dismissal times, and we want to be good stewards of our community. Thank you!
New Family Orientation Recording Available
For those of you who were unable to attend the New Family Orientation on Thursday, September 4, you can now watch the recorded webinar here. This 60-minute session focuses on the transition to high school and the support and resources we have in place at school.
Bus Schedule Changes for the Week of Oct. 13–17

Make Sure You Are Subscribed to Emergency Updates
In the event of a schoolwide emergency, Carondelet has the capability to alert parents/guardians via email, phone call, and/or text messaging through a service called SchoolMessenger. In order for you to receive text messages from Carondelet in an emergency situation, you must opt in to this service.
To opt in now, text “Y” or “Yes” to 67587.
If you believe you’ve already opted in, you can text “Y” or “Yes” to 67587 again to confirm your status. If you previously had a student at a school that uses SchoolMessenger (such as De La Salle), your opt-in may already be active—unless you chose to opt out.
We will be testing our emergency notification system soon, so it is important that you know whether or not you are subscribed. Please direct any questions to the Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications, Jill Okimoto.
