HSC Client Reunited with Family in Wisconsin

Only 19 years old and ready for new opportunities, Myron came to Arizona for work…however soon after finding a job he had a serious work-related injury. He spent some time in the hospital, and was then brought to the Human Services Campus for next steps. One day after arriving at the HSC, our team in the Welcome Center was able to confirm that his family in Wisconsin was more than willing to help him. HSC Staff purchased a bus ticket for travel to his hometown, where he has a good support system and would be warmly welcomed back.

Myron headed home last week to Wisconsin and couldn’t be happier. He had tears and gratitude as he packed his belongings to leave the Campus.

This is what we call a “Diversion” and it is just one way that the HSC helps individuals avoid homelessness every day. Sometimes, stability is only a bus ticket away.
