Twentieth Sunday after Pentecost

Chapel of our Saviour hosted two Mindfulness & Positivity Project (MPP) workshops for public school teachers in Allen House this week! We look forward to doing it again soon.

100 years of Allen House.

65 years of Chapel:

Brokenness into Beauty

The Breakup

In 1919, Maria Allen returned from a trip to Philadelphia to find her husband with another woman—a socialite named Rosalie Cameron—in their home. She was devastated and furious. The Allens filed for divorce (which was rare at the time), and in 1922 Maria tore down the magnificent Hampshire House to erase from her life the memory of her husband and his affair. By 1923, Ben Allen had married Rosalie, and Maria Allen had built a new house of her own where the old one had once stood.

We encourage you to join us as we serve our neighbors: click the button below for more info about volunteering for this ministry.

Join us at Community Circle this week on Sunday, Oct 15 at 9am in Casey Hall to hear about this ministry and our partnership with this organization.
