Dear DreamFarm Friends,
(This is not a press release, this is your personal invitation)

Our October 17th Event: RSVP NOW

Featuring:

If you love jazz vocal standards, you will love the stylings of
Karen Cameron and Friends.

Karen Cameron, one of Boston's finest jazz singers, has performed in concert with the Boston Pops Jazz Trio, The New Hampshire Symphony, Clark Terry of the Tonight Show Band and jazz greats Barney Kessel, James Moody, Richard Davis, Dick Johnson and Jaki Byard.

Vocalist at Scullers, the Bay Tower, Turner Fisheries Lounge in Boston, and the Press Room in Portsmouth, Karen also toured Argentina and Uruguay with a 17 piece band. A studio singer and recording artist, Karen has been featured in jazz festivals in the Midwest and Alaska, the UNH Clark Terry Jazz Festivals and Essex Connecticut's Hot Steamed Jazz Festivals.

Ferdinando Argenti, Boston-based pianist and composer, is originally from Pisa, Italy. He toured Europe for 10 years as a pianist, keyboardist, vocalist and small group arranger. Jazz concerts with American jazz musicians include Chet Baker, Lee Konitz and Kenny Wheeler.

Ferdinando's brilliant jazz piano sound and improvisational style exhibit influences from Charlie Parker, Oscar Peterson, Bill Evans, Chet Baker, Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea.

Mitch Brook, bass and guitarist, has played and recorded with the Maggie Scott Trio, the Al Vega Trio of Boston, the seven-piece swing band, "Something Cool" and a few jazz trios in Germany. His eclectic tastes and styles cover the blues, rock, jazz and salsa.

ALSO FEATURING: Artist Painter Mary Phillips who will be painting during our Live musical event.

Mary Phillips is an artist who works in a Renaissance style of oil painting. Her works evolve from conception of composition through initial value study drawings. The underpainting on canvas or linen is then produced, completed with final oil color and glazing. Her works consist largely of figures and portraits, as well as still life and landscape paintings.

Mary Phillips is a juried member of the New Hampshire Artist's Association and the Oil Painters of America. Her awards include:

  • Member's Prize - Fitchburg Art Museum's 75th Regional Show 2010
  • Miriam Sawyer Award for Painting - Currier Art Museum, New Hampshire 2008
  • American Mothers - first place award for painting in their annual Naional 2007

Mrs. Phillips lives and works in New Boston, New Hampshire with her husband and family. She accepts commissions for portraits following consultation.
