Natalia Bautista Bonilla Received Yumi Cares Foundation Scholarship
The Art Therapy Department was pleased to have supported second year graduate student, Natalia Bautista Bonilla, as she received the first-ever Yumi Cares Foundation scholarship for art therapy graduate study during the recent biennial Yumi Cares Foundation Gala 2025. Former Maryland State Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Nancy Grasmick and former First Lady, Yumi Hogan, presented Natalia with the scholarship which will support a portion of her graduate program tuition needs for 2025-2026. Mrs. Hogan has long been a fervent supporter of licensed art therapy practice and practitioner training in the state of Maryland, and through her foundation, has advanced the critical role art therapists can play within medical treatment for those battling cancer.
