It's the first week of October and these next three months will go by quickly.

October is the time to:

Schedule a finance team meeting (make sure to discuss the new overtime rules-the information is below).

Schedule the Board meeting in November to approve the 2025 budget.

If you have plans for Thanksgiving, it's time to finalize those plans.

Begin to think about and plan what you will be doing for Advent and Christmas Eve.

Begin scheduling the Society meeting for January or early February 2025.

It's going to be a wonderful three months of ministry impact and God is going to show himself strong as you look to Him first on how you are making your plans.

On the journey,

Supt. Tolly

Christmas is one of the most important times for outreach. People are hungry for the message of Jesus and the hope of the gospel.

However, planning a successful outreach to your community can be overwhelming. Many churches are stretched thin, struggling to organize events that truly engage the community. In our new guide, we'll walk you through creating a 12-day Christmas outreach campaign to help your church show the community the true meaning of Christmas.

In their newly updated eBook, They answer 25 questions to guide churches and ministries as they navigate new federal overtime pay requirements.

The United States Department of Labor (DOL) periodically adjusts the salary threshold required for the executive, administrative, and professional exemption available under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act.Following the DOL’s most recent rulemaking finalized in 2024, the updated requirements will cause around 4 million employees nationwide to no longer qualify for exempt status by January 1, 2025, unless their salaries are significantly increased.

Along with the eBook, ECFA also hosted a recent webinar with experts Ted Batson and John Nelcon to help clarify these changes. In this webinar, you'll discover what you need to know about the new overtime rules, including the effect of the ministerial exception and the new regulations.
