Worship Service October 20
Beyond Hope: The Path of Faithfulness | 10am
Rev. Dr. Victoria Weinstein, Parish Minister
|
Faithful living brings us beyond the argument of whether or not we can reasonably remain hopeful about what is possible for Earth and the survival of species. But how? Come be inspired by the wisdom of faith-based environmentalist Margaret Bullitt-Jonas and others.

Climate Change and Faith
Green Sanctuary Ministry Team Meeting
November 1 - 7pm - Parish Hall
|
|
If you’ve never attended a GSMT meeting, we hope you’ll consider coming to this one as we plan events focusing on our theme this year:
“Climate Change & Faith.”
We are always interested in new ideas and volunteers to help with our activities – you can participate as much or as little as you like, but we are striving this year to get more people involved in GSMT activities and to also coordinate closely with other church committees and teams as well as outside organizations as we “draw the circle wider.”
We’ll have refreshments at the meeting and, while potluck contributions are not necessary, they are always welcome. Any questions, feel free to contact me at
[email protected]
.
Thanks and hope to see you in November! ~
Toni Bandrowicz, GSMT Chair

Their unique approach to crisis response includes working with local groups to provide relief long after the media's attention has moved on.
Please make checks payable to UUSC
with Hurricane Dorian Crisis Response on the memo line. Thank you for your generosity.

Fair Trade Coffee and Chocolate Bars
Prices Reduced on Select Items
|
|
Throughout October, selected Fair Trade coffee and chocolate bars, identified by a red label, are on sale at deeply discounted prices. Selected coffee items, regularly priced at $7 and $7.75, are on sale for $5. The sale price for chocolate bars is $2, down from $2.75.
Items on sale are past the “best by” date but are fully useable, fresh, and flavorful.
The after church sales area is operated by the Denominational Connections Ministry Team. The products are obtained from Equal Exchange, a worker cooperative based in Massachusetts that distributes tea, coffee, chocolate and other items grown on small family farms that follow ecologically responsible practices. Proceeds from sales help fund the activities of the Ministry Team.
