SPOTLIGHT ON ...
NEW GENERATION DEVICES
New Generation Devices logo

spotlightNew Generation Devices (NGD) was founded in early 2001 with a mission to bring state-of-the-art technology to the veterinary market that would allow surgeons to improve the care they provide their patients. NGD also believes in helping to build the future of veterinary medicine through science and understands the importance of supporting and recognizing the research excellence of the veterinary residents. That is why we are honored to be an endowed sponsor of the Mark S. Bloomberg Residents award.

We at NGD understand the importance of choice, and the last thing you or your patient needs is to be limited either by the cost or by the available device technology. NGD strives to deliver the right balance between what's best for patients and what's right for your business, with innovative, cost effective orthopedic technologies that offer unmatched intra-operative flexibility and integrate seamlessly into your practice.

Having introduced the first "veterinary specific" locking plates to the industry in 2004, NGD offers the most comprehensive line of Dual Compression Locking Plate systems on the market, including the locking TPO and DFO plates designed in collaboration with Kenneth A. Bruecker, DVM, MS, DipACVS, DipACVSMR. All of our plates feature our patented dual compression locking technology for unmatched locking screw placement versatility. With the addition of only a single locking drill guide, our plates will work seamlessly with your current plating instruments and approach, making integration simple and affordable.

At the present time, NGD, in collaboration with Drs. Neil Embleton and Veronica Barkowski, is developing an innovative internal stifle stabilization system. Simitri Stable In Stride™ is a three-part modular system that has been designed to provide the surgeon with an option for the management of any form of canine stifle instability. The Simitri system may be of benefit in speeding up the recovery period by providing immediate stabilization to the instability. Laboratory and clinical research have shown the Simitri system to be an effective method of managing canine stifle instability. And, we believe that the traditional approach of performing an osteotomy will be replaced, in the near future, by a stable implant system for normal joint mechanics and stability in all phases of stride.

EXPLORE SUN VALLEY

sunvalleyStart making plans now to travel to Sun Valley, Idaho, for the VOS 2015 conference. The conference venue - the Sun Valley Resort and Conference Center - is located in an incredibly beautiful setting with the town of Ketchum and Bald Mountain nearby.

Sun Valley started as a playground for European nobility and Hollywood stars in 1936. The tradition of "roughing it in style" continues with the kind of laid-back comfort you can only find in Idaho.

Off-mountain activities include ice skating, cross-country skiing, cozy bars and world-class dining and shopping. Bright, sunny days with comfortable temperatures combined with long, wide-open groomed runs and awesome scenery are the reasons for Sun Valley's appeal among the world's skiing elite.

Sun Valley offers more than 70 runs, a 3,400-foot vertical drop and more uphill capacity per skier than any other ski area. An excellent European-style shuttle service provides easy access to the slopes and town.

Sun Valley prides itself on remaining low-key while meeting the highest standards of service and comfort.

Visit the VOS website to register for the conference and make lodging and travel reservations for Sun Valley.
