There's a CHILL in the air...

Fall is here and temperatures are changing. Before long, people will be turning on the furnace and building a fire in their fireplaces. We suggest you start talking to your clients about some safety issues to protect their property.  For example:   
  1. It's a good time of year to have your furnace checked and cleaned to make sure it is in optimal condition.
  2. If they have a fireplace or wood burning stove, they should have their chimney swept.
  3. If they have a vacant dwelling, remind them to winterize and turn the water off as the temperatures drop to prevent any broken pipes and water damage (as this may not be covered on a vacant policy). 
  4. Recommend that they NOT use space heaters.  These are the source of a lot of fires.  
We want your customers to enjoy this wonderful time of year and the holidays coming up.  Your reminder might just be what they need to keep them and their property safe.
