PAST EVENTS
AFF School and Membership Open Houses
Merci tout le monde!
These two events were a huge success and lots of fun. We have the opportunity to meet new students and members. Best of all, we thanked our past presidents for their impact and the legacy of French they have left. We also honored Françoise Kinzel and the Bourrels for their long support of the Alliance Française of Fresno.
Thank you to our Board Members who are leaving!
New Board Begins October 1
We want to thank the board members who are leaving: Richard Crossman, Gabriel Benitez and Lori Fleenor. We are very grateful for Richard's long service on the board, for Gabriel's diligence as treasurer and for Lori's excellence as secretary. Their enthusiasm will be missed, but we hope to see them around at events!

The Board begins October 1. We would like to welcome: Scott Donaghe, Andrea Donaghe, Toney Henry, Nidia Innis-Gonzalez, Rosalina Lempereur de Guerny, Natalie Muñoz, LisaMarie Slater, Patience Tshimika, and Denise Ulrich.

Two French language films are coming to Fresno in November:

Fresno Filmworks presents " Django" : The story of Django Reinhardt, famous guitarist and composer, and his flight from German-occupied Paris in 1943.
This will be screened during their annual film festival, Nov. 10-12. For dates, prices and more information, please visit their site:

Cineculture of Fresno State presents: "Sur quel pied danser" on Nov. 17 at 5:30 pm. The two directors will be the discussants of this film.
Inspired by the films of French filmmaker and lyricist Jacques Demy ( The Umbrellas of Cherbourg ) and American film director and choreographer Stanley Donen ( Singing in the Rain ),  Footnotes  by French directors Paul Calori and Kostia Testut, is a whimsical musical comedy. The film tells the story of Julie a young woman who might land a steady job in a luxury shoe factory.
