Youth Run Club
It can be hard to get out and run in October in Alberta when the weather starts to turn. Brainstorm some ideas with your Run Club members on where you can run without risking slips and falls on the ice; or, what gear you need to stay warm if you choose to brave the elements! Some drills in the gym or heading to a running track can keep spirits high; or, some thermal gear can keep the frostbite away. Check out our coaches corner for more tips on all things Run Club!
October 10th is World Mental Health Day
Mental health is a big part of overall health and wellness. According to the World Health Organization, half of all mental illnesses begin by the age of 14, but most cases go undetected and untreated. Take some time on October 10th to check in on yourself and those around you, and remind yourself that your mental health should always be a priority. Alberta Health Services has mental health resources for Elementary to Junior High students!
