A Message from the Library Trustees
After an extensive search process, the Board of Trustees is proud to announce the appointment of Catherine Damiani as the new Director of Tiverton Public Library. Catherine comes to us from East Providence and Barrington Public Libraries, most recently serving as Head of Reference and Digital Services Librarian. Earlier this year she was elected to serve a three-year term on the American Library Association Council, and is currently pursuing a Master's of Public Administration at the University of Rhode Island. She received the Alumni of the Year award distinction from the URI's Graduate School of Library and Information Studies in 2017 and was named the 2016 American Library
Association Emerging Leader. Catherine received her BA in Psychology from Gordon College, her MLIS from URI, and will complete her MPA at URI in December 2019. She is described as a "rising star of the RI library community" by Debbie Barchi, retired Director of Barrington Public Library. The Board of Trustees looks forward to introducing Catherine to our community and hopes the public will join us in welcoming her at several events currently in the planning stages. H

The Library was a big part of Tiverton Land Trust's Pardon Gray Day in September. Families swarmed the outdoor area where Teen Librarian Rebecca Ott and the Library Teens helped families make scarecrows, while Children's Librarian Meg Paquette and Adult Services Librarian Emily Goodman brought games, prizes and activities for all ages.
Thank You Tiverton Library Staff!

With barely a flicker of her false eyelashes, she was plunged into a rapidly-shifting world of glamour gods and Playboy bunnies, first-class fliers and spiritual seekers. As a fun-loving Stew, Rebecca literally had the world at her feet. Yet, something was missing. Life was coming at her - not the other way around. How could she take back the controls and create the life she really wanted? Find out as Rebecca shares with us her tale as written in her book Secrets of a Metaphysical Flight Attendant.
