Meet Angela
Angela is a mother of two, and has been attending our program at Logan Park Apartments for over six months.

Shaday, her case manager, noticed that Angela would frequently mention finances in their conversations. Angela wanted to do more to support her family, however she was afraid of failure.

Through the support of Next Move Homeless Services staff, Angela has found her passion as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor! She is currently enrolled in a Chemical Dependency Studies degree program at American River College.

Angela no longer faces doubts and fear, and instead focuses on encouragement and affirmation. She tells herself, “You can do it… just give it a try.”
Volunteers in action
We are so grateful to have hosted Capital Christian School students for a day of service at our Family Shelter. These students helped clean the dining hall, dorms, meeting room, and lobby. Thank you for helping us keep our community space looking clean and welcoming!
You can support Socktoberfest by donating your gently used or new socks, hats, gloves, scarves, and travel size hygiene items to benefit our clients at Francis House, between now and October 31. A big thank you to Academy Mortgage Corporation for organizing Socktoberfest!
Adopt-A-Family Program
Our Hope for the Holidays Adopt-A-Family program will be starting again soon as we near the end of the year. In November, we will be providing information on families that are available for adoption, and a shopping guide with information on the needs of each child and household.

If you would like to learn more about our Adopt-A-Family program, please email:

THANK YOU for your support
Because of the support from our wonderful sponsors, supporters, volunteers, vendors, and staff, we were able to raise over $15,000 at Next Move Block Party: Raising the Roof on Homelessness 2018! Your kindness, generosity, and support is what makes events like this possible, and allows us to continue serving over 500 formerly homeless families and single adults each day.

If you missed the Block Party, but would still like to contribute, you can DONATE TODAY to support our programs.
