Hello everyone! The second half of 2018 is rolling and I have good momentum. The season started off pretty rocky for me (full details in my most recent
). I recently returned from China with a win at Changsha International triathlon where Craig Alexender also won. I’ve looked up to him as a role model since 2010, so to win a race alongside of Craig was special for me. Unfortunately, we both went over there to also race IRONMAN 70.3 Chongquing but the event was cancelled five days before for government-related reasons.
This weekend I won IRONMAN 70.3 Coquimbo in Chile. It was a hard fought battle with Alicia Kaye. We have raced each other over a dozen times and I have only beat her once, so it was a big win for me! I decided to take a new approach this season for the second half of the year. Instead of putting in a final training block, I will race my way out of shape into the holidays. It is late October and I will race 4 more 70.3s in 4 different countries in the next 6 weeks. I am not sure if it is the best idea but the thought of it excites me and I want to see what my body is actually capable of. Also, I am not one to turn down a stamp in the good ol’ passport. I have no idea how this venture will go through to Challenge Daytona on December 9th. I invite you to follow my crazy adventure and see how it all unfolds! Find me
