In the Neighborhoods
These are some of the concerns I hear about when canvasing the neighborhoods.

- South Beach Parkway median
- Sort-term vacation rentals
- Stormwater drainage in The Sanctuary
- Dogs on the Beach
- Intersection at 3rd Street South 37th Ave S (and Ponte Vedra Blvd)
- Downtown Crime
- Increased Density

What I've been doing:

- Helped to get the line of sight expanded on South Beach Parkway for those who live in the Ocean Cay and Rip Tide neighborhoods.
- Contacted the FDOT about possible solutions to alleviate some of the issues at the intersections on 3rd St. South in order to ease traffic flow and increase pedestrian safety.

- And much more. Feel free to contact me to discuss progress on sort term vacation rentals (e.g. Air BNB), downtown crime, or any concerns you have regarding your neighborhood. My focus is on our community!
Hiring a New City Manager
  • As noted in a previous newsletter, the City is currently undergoing a national search for a new City Manager. There are five candidates who will be interviewing with the City on October 11th. The public is welcome to attend:
  • October 10, 6:00-7:30 Candidate reception, Four Points by Sheraton (11 1st Street North, Jax Beach)
  • October 11, open interviews: 8:15-12:50, City Council Chamber
  • October 11, 4:40 pm, Council convenes to discuss candidates

The interviews will also be available on the City's YouTube Channel
Finally, renovations on the water tower on 3rd Street have started, so don't be concerned when you see wrap placed around its base.
