This year we have lost 3 CEO's that added to our count of
Ken Chenault, American Express
Ursula Burns, Xerox
Indra Nooyi, PepsiCo
If you don't know who these people are I suggest you look
Now there are only 3 Black CEO's running Fortune 500 Companies
and the number of women serving as CEO's has dropped 25%
since June, 2017.
If we expect to make in roads in Diversity in the C Suite we're
headed in the wrong direction!
Please don't tell me you have no minorities and/or women
in your pipeline. That excuse is getting old. Yes you do!
So either find a better excuse or promote women and/or
if you do not know why the 3-10 year prison
sentence for Bill Cosby is important to eradicating
Sexual abuse worldwide let me share with you why it is
1. FOR THE FIRST TIME It shows powerful, entitled men, all
over the world, that there is a limit to what is acceptable.
It puts all men on watch and a little scared. John and
I believe this fear will produce change, eventually!
2. It models for women everywhere that when we stand
up for ourselves and refuse to accept we are not as important
as "them" or not as powerful as "them" we can get justice.
3. The Civil Trial begins now. In the US that means now Victims
can sue Mr. Cosby to get monetary reparations. For some
of the perpetrators $ is the only thing that makes a dent.
A young 30 something man asked me today why men have
gotten away with this stuff and why women's reputations
get ruined when reporting and in most cases the Perpetrators
gain reputation. I replied:
For Centuries Women All Over The World Have Been Expendable Men Are Not Expendable They Are Entitled.
That's the culture we need to change.
Maybe this week's sentencing of Bill Cosby helps to change that.
Many of you tell me what you got as a result of taking this
popular "personality test" and you have no doubt seen me
wince when you relay this information to me.
That's because I have never believed these tests are
based on sound scientific principles. And then you change your
life goals or approach to life based on the test you took? YUK
Finally a book has been published with a thorough critique
of the MBTI and it's 16 personality types:
The Personality Brokers by Merve Emre, Doubleday
In the book Emre reveals the test was created by a mother
& daughter neither of which had any scientific background
or experience in categorizing human beings.
Please read the book and then examine, much more closely,
who you really are!
