Nominations are now being accepted for the Outstanding New Social Worker Award and the Community Achievement Award. The nomination forms will remain open until October 31, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. Award winners will be notified in December and recognized at the Annual Awards Day Celebration on March 28, 2019 at the I-Hotel.

Student Leadership Award Recipient
 
MSW student, Carmen Hernandez was honored with C-U Immigration Forum's Student Leadership Award - one of five awards presented by the organization at the annual ceremony. This award is given to a student who has shown promise as a leader or demonstrated commitment to serving or working with immigrants or refugees, locally or abroad.

Assistant Professor, Will Schneider has been named a 40 for 40 Fellowship recipient from the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management
 
The 2018-exclusive program provides funding for 40 outstanding early career research professionals to attend the Fall Research Conference- the premier research conference attracting the highest-quality work on a wide variety of current and emerging policy and management issues.

iMSW Program Informational Meetings
 
The iMSW Program at the University of Illinois School of Social Work is a part-time program designed to offer flexibility for working students. Choose from our hybrid-online Advanced Clinical track with limited weekend face-to-face sessions, or our 100% online Leadership & Social Change track for those with a macro interest in social work. 
 
Our upcoming iMSW sessions will be held throughout the state of Illinois. Join us in Urbana (10/6), Moline (10/23), or Peoria (10/25).

IM +CANS Trainings

The Illinois Medicaid Comprehensive Assessment of Needs and Strengths (IM+CANS) Training Office is the result of a partnership between the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS), the School of Social Work at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and Chapin Hall at the University of Chicago.

The training will consist of a one day overview of the new Illinois Medicaid Comprehensive Assessment of Needs and Strengths tool, with integrated treatment planning.
