"Hearts, Hands & Heritage: Quilting Together" opens Thursday, October 18, at The Collective with a reception from 6 to 8 p.m.
The exhibition, in collaboration with the Center for Engaged Research and Collaborative Learning at Rice University, will showcase quilts made by members of the Jubilee Quilt Circle, Aldine Area Quilt Guild, Blue Triangle Quilt Guild and by contemporary artist Nathaniel Donnett.
The opening reception is sponsored by the Port City Chapter of Links, Inc.
The exhibition runs through Saturday, November 17.

Join the Jubilee Quilt Circle
Workshops and demonstrations are offered at The Collective,
4101 San Jacinto, Suite 116, on Thursdays
from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. and Fridays from 1 to 3 p.m.
The Community Artists' Collective invites you to learn about and to
work on textiles, including quilting, knitting, crochet and embroidering.
Supplies provided. Suggested donation is $30 per month.
