Message from the Director:
Fall is here, which brings us the beautiful changing colors of the leaves and a lot of fun fall events to attend.
Our annual dinner will be held on Thursday, November 7 at Alder Creek Banquet Facility with Just Say Cheesecake as caterer. This is such a wonderful event and an evening for all to enjoy. This year we will be honoring Linda Finiki as Citizen of the Year, Kenmore Mercy Hospital as Business of the Year and Phyllis Genter, who will be receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Our G.L.O.W. (Growing Leadership Opportunities for Women) task force will be
taking a trip to the Buffalo History Museum on Wednesday, October 16th. We will carpool from the Chamber office at 4:30 pm. Bob Pecoraro, Our Board Vice President will lead a brief tour of the Makers of WNY, including many women who made an impact in our local community. We will then visit the Suffrage display before a lecture at 6:00 pm. If you are interested in attending, please contact the Chamber office and bring a friend.
Please Save the Date for “Emotional Intelligence” training. Larry Mietus, founder of “Speaking of Strategy” will focus on how Emotional Intelligence dovetails with critical leadership and management skills. This training will take place over breakfast on Thursday, November 21st at 8:30 am (location TBA).
If you have not joined our text messaging service to become a VIP member, please text CCTONA to 57838. This is a great way to be reminded of the events and meetings the Chamber is holding, as well as being entered in our drawings.
Have a wonderful month.
Sincerely,
Cathy A. Oddo, Executive Director
