Public Hearing for Rezoning of 4403 Main Street
The Village Board will have a public hearing on Thursday, October 10 at 5:30 p.m. at the Village Hall, 4725 Lighthouse Drive, to consider an ordinance to rezone 4403 Main Street from “Estate District: R-1” to “Multiple Family Residential District R-4.” During the hearing the public is invited to speak regarding the matter. Written comments may be submitted to the Village Administrator prior to the meeting and shall become part of the record.

As owner of the property, the Village Board requested the Plan Commission to review options and determine a potential land use designation for the property. In July, the Plan Commission completed a strengths and weakness analysis on current and potential land uses. The Commission reviewed the pros and cons related to the each of the Village's possible zoning options. Based upon the size and characteristics of the lot and the zoning of surrounding properties, the Plan Commission determined that the best zoning for the property is R-4 Multiple Family Residence District.

If the rezoning is approved the Village will initiate a formal request for proposal process to select a qualified developer whose proposed plan meets the requirements of the Village Code. Any development proposal will be required to go through the Village's normal architectural review and permitting process.

Copies of the rezoning documents are at the Administrative Office, 215 E. Four Mile Road, Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Please contact Village Administrator Casey Griffiths at 262-639-3524 or c.griffiths@windpoint.org for additional information.

  • Branches should not exceed 4 inches in diameter. Branches should be kept at their original length and not cut into smaller pieces.

  • Branches should be placed by the road in small, reasonably uniform piles. Piles should not exceed 4 feet in height and 4 feet in width. Pile branches with the cut end toward the road, in the same direction (as shown in the picture to the right).

  • Branch piles should be set out near the edge of the road away from mailboxes or other obstructions.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact the Administrative Office at 262-639-3524 or info@windpoint.org.
