Road to Re-Accreditation
The Association for Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs (AAHRPP) has approved Step 1 and Step 2 applications for re-accreditation.
The next step will consist of an on-site evaluation by AAHRPP site visitors. AAHRPP will randomly select research investigators, research staff, IRB members, and others for interviews. Ensure you are familiar with the HRPP standards and expectations should you be selected. Review sessions are listed below. Training material is also available on the ORI AAHRPP website.
Single IRB/reliance protocols are now required to be entered into E-IRB after ORI staff have confirmed that reliance on an external IRB is applicable for an individual study. Please see ORI'sSingle IRB/Reliance webpage for instructions on submitting a Reliance Request Form for review.
Additionally, please see ORI's Sample Protocol for Reliance for reference on how to submit your request to rely on an external IRB in E-IRB after your Reliance Request Form is reviewed and approved.”
