Parent/Teacher Conferences

In an effort to streamline parent/teacher conferences we sent out a survey at open house in the form of a sheet of paper with multiple options for conferences on it. The options included face to face, phone call, email, and FaceTime or Google Hangout. Based on the results of the survey Merryman will be having one night for face to face scheduled conferences on November 5th from 3:30pm to 6:30pm. The other modes of communication that you selected as a preference will be done throughout the month of November. Look for more information from your classroom teacher!
Internet Safety

When I was growing up, one of the most difficult talks for a parent to have with their child was about the “birds and the bees.” Today, since kids access the Internet and connect with peers through more devices and apps than ever before, Internet safety has become the new “talk” that parents must have with their children. Not sure where or when to start having the talk?  Click here to learn more.
Please make sure that you have checked out our PBIS Handbook as well as our Elementary Handbook . There is a lot of important information in these books to help you out on the educational journey with your child.
Captain's Crew
Aubree has been an excellent example of showing good PBIS behaviors. She always follows directions the first time, is respectful, and is very helpful. She helps to make our classroom a very positive place to be! Keep up the good work, Aubree!

Lillianah is a wonderful part of our third grade family. She always treats her friends and classmates with kindness and respect. She makes sure to look out for others and help in any way she can. Lillianah sets a wonderful example for those around her and we are lucky to have her in third grade.
Blessing is new to Merryman school this year and has been "rocking" 4th grade. She is a great addition to our class. She has been respectful to all her classmates and to her teachers. She is always putting forth her very best effort and doing her best whenever she is asked to complete an assignment. Great Job Blessing.
