" I’m really excited to be coming back to the place where I have so many friends and have had so many great experiences. Although in recent years, my career has taken me far afield from day-to-day piano teaching, pedagogy is still my home—and I love any opportunity to speak to music teachers. It always feels like a homecoming. There’s something wonderful and inexpressibly beautiful about the work early level teachers do every day—almost always unrecognized (or under recognized) in our culture—that changes young lives for the better. I look forward to being with you in a few weeks."

OhioMTA Scholarship Recipient
Congratulations to Clinton Pratt, NCTM, the recipient of our $500 Teacher Scholarship! Clinton will be using the scholarship to attend the Dalcroze Eurhythmics Training Week in Columbus Ohio in July, 2020. Special thanks to Mattlin-Hyde Pianos for providing the funds. Clinton will be awarded the scholarship money at the Awards Banquet on Friday evening during the conference.
