College of Our Lady of the Elms ~ October 26, 2020
Dear Alumni,

Here at the College of Our Lady of the Elms, we are busy creating and developing more ways to connect with alumni during these unusual times. It does seem that we have been sending you many emails to share these exciting programs, initiatives, and services. I hope you are seeing and learning about all Elms College has to offer you as an alumna/us.

Please know that you are always welcome to email or call with ideas, comments, and suggestions.

It's always great to engage with alumni!

Warmly,

Andrea Holden

Jaines Andrades '14 DNP '20
When Jaines Andrades '14 DNP '20, took a job on the custodial staff at Baystate Medical Center 10 years ago she hoped one day she would work in the same building as a nurse.

“Honestly, I applied for the job just to get my foot in the door, to see what the nurses did and what it was like in the hospital,” she says.

Two weeks ago, Andrades, of Chicopee, was hired as a nurse practitioner in the Trauma Surgery Department at Baystate, and she says it was the result of a decade of hard work, lots of studying and sacrificing time with friends and family.

Kristin Ferriter Hagan '96
The Board of Trustees at Elms College has appointed Kristin Ferriter Hagan '96, Carolyn Jacobs and Paul J. Marchese to serve on the board.

“The new members bring a wide range of perspectives to the board and have experience in higher education, institutional advancement, and financial services. I look forward to working with each of them as we advance the mission and vision of the college." Elms president Harry E. Dumay said.

Annual Mass of Remembrance
Mass with Father Mark is Celebrated Weekly
Weekly Mass is celebrated with Father Mark on YouTube weekly from St. Joseph Chapel in Berchmans Hall. This has been a blessing during this unprecedented public health crisis. We have heard from alumni who live near and far how much they have enjoyed these Masses. Many feel more connected to the College of Our Lady of the Elms.

The college plans for these recordings to continue until regular on-campus Masses can return. Masses are posted at 4 pm on Saturdays on the college's YouTube channel and the Elms College Facebook page. Join us this week!
