As many of you know the Offices of Faith Formation and Youth Ministry Services have released a letter providing insight and direction for conducting your faith formation programs amid the COVID virus and state mandates. We have compiled all of the Archdiocesan and Washington state resources in one place, on our Faith Formation resource page. Please look to this webpage for the information you need. We are updating the materials as they are released, so check back often as these are ever changing times!

On Wednesday, October 7, the Archdiocese of Seattle will join in solidarity with Archbishop Gomez, president of the USCCB, to celebrate the memorial of Our Lady of the Rosary. "Fratelli Tutti" A New Encyclical for all Brothers and Sisters

The USCCB is providing a video series on the new directory that will provide insights into eight new emphases which it proposes. Click here to view the videos that have been released. The fourth in the series is presented by Archbishop Emeritus Peter J. Sartain! He speaks on the renewed emphasis on the catechumenate process for all catechesis.

While waiting to know the contents of the document, there has been some discussion about the title and how to translate it inclusively. An encyclical, though, is per se a universal text, and Pope Francis truly wants to speak to the heart of each and every person. Families Growing Together Online Retreat & Education Program Over the summer the Archdiocese of Seattle participated in a regional online program for people who have disabilities and their families. It was met with great success and there have been more dates set for the upcoming months. Registration information: English and Spanish. In collaboration with all archdioceses in Region 12.

Catechetical Certification Program (CCP) For parish staff, volunteers, adult learners, and parents of homeschoolers. This program provides the foundation for knowing, living, and teaching our Catholic faith. Registration is currently open to online cohorts. Sessions begin in October. New Sacraments Page We have created a new page where you can find information on all seven sacraments. While you still can find a concentrated page for each sacrament, you can now find additional general information on the Sacraments here. The Archdiocesan policies for the Sacraments of Initiation and RCIA, definitions of each sacrament, sacramental signs and symbols, plus much more can be found on this page.
