We are also asking our members to provide any updates on ways their business is adapting to the changes in the business community. We are featuring those testimonials in our newsletters.

Dear Fellow Chamber Members,
With fall right in front of us and 2020 winding down, I have started to take some time to reflect on the challenges I have faced as a result of the COVID pandemic. There is no question that many of these same challenges will continue into 2021. The true test for us all is not if we overcome our challenges, but when and how much stronger we will become. As you have heard me say in the past, the strongest communities are the ones that persevere. With your continued support and leveraging the Chamber to help YOU be successful we WILL persevere! I continue to encourage our members to think about engaging the Chamber and allow us to help promote your business. The Chamber has a great toolbox of services to support YOU! Mary Ruggiero
Lou's Lawn Care
This month's featured Ambassador is Mary Ruggiero of Lou's Lawn Care. Lou's Lawn Care joined the Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce in February 2020. Mary joined the LINCT Committee and Ambassador Committee shortly after they joined the Chamber. Being an Ambassador has enabled her to meet and brainstorm with a wonderful bunch of people who she might not have otherwise known. It is a great way to create and foster connections with others and local businesses. It has also been a great networking platform, introducing her to more immediate and surrounding businesses.
At Lou's Lawn Care, Mary is the receptionist and sales person. She answers the phones for Lou and also markets the company's services. Mary has been with Lou's Lawn Care for the past three years. Lou's Lawn Care specializes in lawn cuts, fertilizing, brush trimming, premium grade mulch and Fall and Spring cleanups.
Mary and her husband Rocky have been Lisle residents for 23 years and have two adult children and a very cute and funny Dachshund. You can often find them playing tennis, painting, cooking, enjoying a great cup of coffee, volunteering at church, or just soaking up the good outdoors. She enjoys gardening in her backyard and at the Lisle Community garden plot. Mary is also a member of Wheaton's nonprofit, Sustain DuPage, a local platform actively advocating sustainability practices throughout DuPage County. She also enjoys participating in WWOOF, World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms and taking courses through College of DuPage's continuing education division. Her favorite quote is from King Solomon, "If you wait for perfect conditions, you'll never get anything done."

Lisle French Market is Extended Until October 17, 2020
at PrairieWalk Pond!

The Lisle French Market is open on Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. along PrairieWalk Pond in Downtown Lisle. There have been measures put in place to include social distancing protocols and to protect the health of the public. These measures include masking requirements, one way entry and exits, and social distancing. View the guidelines for shoppers and vendors below. Animals are not permitted unless they are service animals or are in carriers.
There is no fee for admission and there is free parking available in the Garfield Parking lot, along Main Street and in the Commuter Parking lots located off of Burlington Avenue.
Prager Moving & Storage has donated a large roll of shrink wrap that has been utilized between between the booths at the French Market to help the vendors comply with all of the safety measures put in place. Prager Moving & Storage is located in Naperville, Illinois and has been family-owned and operated since 1954. Congratulations to Thrive of Lisle on Their Virtual Ribbon Cutting and Opening of Their New Location in Lisle!
On September 30th, Thrive of Lisle held a virtual ribbon cutting to celebrate the opening of their new facility in Lisle. Lisa Henderson of Thrive of Lisle set up the event and after the virtual ribbon cutting presented a video of the facility. Thrive of Lisle is a new short-term care medical rehabilitation center located on Ogden Avenue in Lisle.

Lisle Loyal eGift Card Program
The Lisle Loyal eGift Card Program is administered through the Village’s program partner, Yiftee. Participants in the program will have the ability to customize a gift card, market themselves, drive traffic and elevate their visibility in and around the Lisle community. Participating businesses can directly impact the amount of financial support they receive through the program by successful marketing efforts. The greater the promotion of the branded card and the program, the greater customer recognition, traffic, and generated financial support.
Benefits of Participation
Marketing and promotional assistance support from the Village of Lisle, DuPage Convention and Visitors Bureau and Lisle Chamber of Commerce.
• Lisle Loyal marketing includes PoS signage, posters and slicks for participating
businesses, email and website suggested language and set up support.
• Village of Lisle providing financial support to cover administrative fees
• To encourage more customers to buy gift cards and support your business the
Village of Lisle is sponsoring bonus gift cards
• Sign up is quick and easy
• eGift Card is mobile - there are no additional printing or distribution expenses
• Program integrates with current business websites and social media sites
• Redemption is online via portal requiring no additional set up or equipment
• Funds from purchased gift cards are automatically sent weekly
• Fraud risk is eliminated
• No Point of Sale technology revisions or setup
• Real-time reporting
Cost to Participate
There is no expense to your business to participate in this program. Yiftee is waiving the monthly subscription fees through September 30, so there is no cost to you now, and no obligation going forward except to redeem the cards you have sold. Participating businesses would typically pay an eDelivery fee on each gift card purchased. The eDelivery fee is $1+5% of the purchased card value. The Village of Lisle is funding administrative expenses throughout the program.
Financial Support From the Village of Lisle To Cover Administrative Fees
Financial support through December 15, 2020 by the Village includes:
• Funding the 5% monthly subscription fee October 1, 2020 to December 15, 2020
(business fee)
• Funding the $1+5% eDelivery fee for each card sold (purchaser or business fee)

Promotion Is The Success Of This Program
You send out marketing messages on social media and to your customer mailing list with a link to buy your custom eGift Card. People will click on the link and purchase the card for themselves or email/text them to their friends and associates. The purchaser will
automatically receive an additional bonus on gift card purchases of over $25.
Financial Support From the Village of Lisle For Bonus (BOGO) Gift Cards
• $25 eGift Card, receive an additional $10
• $50 eGift Card, receive an additional $25
• $75 eGift Card, receive an additional $40
*Bonus gift cards must be activated and used by December 15, 2020
*Limit one bonus gift card per person per business.
Yiftee will send you the funds weekly by electronic funds transfer (ACH) which will include the original gift card and bonus amounts when the bonus gift card is activated. Bonus gift cards must be activated and are only valid until December 15, 2020. When
customers purchase an eGift Card to your business over $25 value, they will receive two gift card codes – one for the original amount purchased, and one for the bonus amount to your business. Customers can either use both codes themselves or treat them as two
separate gift cards and choose to gift one of them to someone else. Limit one bonus gift card per person per business.
eGift Cards Redemption
You will receive access to a Yiftee online portal that you will use to redeem the cards by entering a code that the customer presents to you and the value of the transaction. You do this via the internet with the customer on the phone or in person. There’s no PoS
integration, it’s up to you to make sure that you process the cards on your Yiftee portal before completing the sale to make sure that the card is valid and shows the customer’s card balance.
Your portal allows you to run real time reports on what cards have been purchased, redeemed and are still outstanding. For more information on the gift card redemption process, please read this step-by-step guide.
Marketing Support
The Lisle Loyal Market Place. Your gift card/logo will be visible to the public on this page once you have signed up. The Village of Lisle, DuPage Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Lisle Chamber of Commerce will provide additional marketing support for the program and participating businesses.
