Greetings from Hans Cederlund, President SACC Texas
Dear SACC Texas member,

We are already in late September and the state of Texas is slowly opening up. However, the pandemic is far from over and we have to be cognizant with the development. It is
my hope that, soon, we can start to arrange physical events on a regular basis.

I am glad to say that, during this time of pandemic, Texas has adapted very well, and all three of our chapters have been very active with many great web events. During our recent web events we have had the opportunity to learn more about why Northvolt decided to build its plant in Skellefteå and what their future plans are. Another example is Houston Live, for which we have our own Professor Christina Hultén at Baylor College of Medicine, who frequently updates us with real facts about the pandemic. Houston Live also features various business people and updates from Honorary Consul General Mrs. Astrid Marklund. SACC Texas board members are also making a mark in the media. Read about Austin Chairman Henrik Johansson, who was just recently appointed CEO for Gembah Inc.

Another project, that will hopefully make a mark in the media as well, is SACC USA Business Survey that went live a couple of days ago. SACC USA Business Survey is intended to be a recurring web panel and has been initiated by our board member and Chief Communications Officer, André Persson. All Regional SACC USA chapters are onboard, which allows us to really use the experience, resources and knowledge of all SACC members throughout the United States. In polls ask them what they think about various societal and economic trends. The answers from our members will not only give us new
knowledge and insights, but it will also give us an opportunity to seek publicity in the media. I therefore urge all SACC Texas members to click here (use the password: sverigeus20) and answer a few short questions about the upcoming election and the pandemic – it will take you a maximum of five minutes.
