El Dorado County Road Trips: Leaf Peepers

If you’re looking for Mother Nature’s annual show of colors, this road trip is for you! The aspen, oak, maples, cottonwood, and dogwood trees explode in color from late September through early December. During harvest season, the grapevines reveal a fantastic color palette which, of course, pairs well with any wine-tasting adventure.

Virtual Networking at Noon with Siri Nelson
Siri began her career in accounting and finance, doing audits of various health care organizations. “I just fell in love with the complexity of the organizations,” says Nelson. That’s how she got into healthcare administration and began working at several community hospitals in the Sierra Foothills and the Central Valley. She served as Chief Financial Officer and Interim CEO at Sutter Amador Hospital in Jackson, Chief Administrative Officer at Sutter Lakeside in Lakeport and since 2017, as Chief Executive Officer at South Meadows Medical Center in Reno. She now also chairs the American Hospital Association’s section for Small & Rural Hospitals.

Our Business Luncheons include informative, entertaining , and motivating speakers. Chamber Business Luncheons are traditionally held each month on the second Wednesday at Red Hawk Casino/Henry's Steakhouse, however due to the COVID-19 pandemic these events will take place virtually via Zoom software.

Invite a guest and join members who are excited to do business with fellow chamber members. Since this event usually includes a buffet lunch, attendees are encouraged to order take out from a restaurant to show support to our local establishments.

Christmas Tree Lane 2020
The El Dorado County Chamber of Commerce will continue to display Highway 50 Holiday Trees in 2020 despite the current pandemic. Brightly decorated trees along Highway 50 bring cheer to the community and travelers. Now more than ever we need to preserve that spirit. To minimize the risk of exposure in our community changes have been made in our application process, including tree decorating/cleanup days. We appreciate your cooperation and patience as we go through this new process.

What you need to know:

1.     All applications must be submitted online between October 15th – October 29. No applications will be accepted in person. (Stay tuned for the link to our applications).

2.     Applications will be drawn through a randomized system on November 2nd.

3.     All applicants chosen through the randomized drawing will be notified by email by November 6th.

4.     There will be a list of back-up applicants chosen through the same randomized process. Should the original winner of the drawing decline their tree within 5 days, the back-up list will be implemented.
