WCC among coalitions partnering on DRIVE Electric USA
Wisconsin Clean Cities is proud to be among the 14 Clean Cities coalitions participating in the DRIVE Electric USA project. The overarching goal of DRIVE will be to substantially increase EV adoption rates across consumer and fleet markets. The project will be based on a model designed to attack several interrelated market barriers utilizing proven best practices. Learn more

Energy Innovation Grants available
The Public Service Commission of Wisconsin is accepting applications through Jan. 22, 2021 for the Energy Innovation Grant Program. The program supports innovative energy technologies and provides equitable access to the benefits of clean energy, efficiency and preparedness by reaching broad applicant types. Michigan to Montana I-94 Clean Fuel Corridor project updates
A stretch of Interstate 94 between the Illinois border & Madison, Wisconsin now has signage indicating it is an alternative fuel corridor. The signs were erected earlier this month, thanks in part to the Michigan to Montana I-94 Clean Fuel Corridor project, of which WCC is a proud partner. M2M was also featured on an episode of "MotorWeek" earlier this month. M2M also has new Facebook & Twitter pages, developed by our WCC intern over the summer in partnership with interns from other participating coalitions. Learn more
Nissan LEAF discounts continue
WCC member Nissan North America, as part of its effort to accelerate electric vehicle transportation alternatives throughout the U.S., is offering customers with proof of eligibility incentive offers toward the purchase of the 100% electric Nissan LEAF. CMD Corporation — headquartered in Appleton, Wisconsin — became a Wisconsin Clean Cities member in 2015. Business Development Manager Brad Schmoll serves on the Wisconsin Clean Cities Board of Directors & is a member of its Executive Board. CMD is a technology-driven innovator of machinery & automation for manufacturing plastic bags, pouches & specialty converted products for applications from consumer goods to medical & food. CMD is also a growing supplier for compressed natural gas (CNG) refueling systems. New & Renewing Members
Featured Fuel: Ethanol
Ethanol is a renewable fuel made from corn and various other plant materials collectively known as “biomass”. The use of ethanol is widespread, with more than 95 percent of U.S. gasoline containing ethanol in a low-level blend to oxygenate the fuel and reduce air pollution. Ethanol is also available as E85, a high-level ethanol blend containing 51 percent to 83 percent ethanol, depending on geography and season.
