Parental Supply: Should You Bring
The Party Home?
While many parents may think that allowing their teens and their teens’ friends to drink at home under adult supervision keeps kids safe and leads to healthier attitudes about drinking, the truth is that there are serious negative consequences for both parents and teens.

Social Host Ordiances
The ordinance’s purpose is to help stop underage drinking. It is aimed at those persons who allow persons under the legal age to consume alcoholic beverages in or on property they own or control or it can be the person who organized the event. The ordinance is targeted at those who host the gatherings – not necessarily the property owner, parent or adult. A criminal misdemeanor fine would be issued to anyone cited for hosting the event where the alcohol is served to minors. If the person hosting the event is not of legal drinking age, it would mean a juvenile violation.

Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders
Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) is an umbrella term describing the range of effects that can occur in an individual who is exposed to alcohol during the nine month prenatal period before birth. These effects may include physical, mental, behavioral, and/or learning disabilities with possible lifelong implications.
