The crew has been hard at work down-rigging the schooner and putting on the winter cover.
We always say the weather is perfect for exactly what we are doing in this moment in time and the last day of the final trip was no exception. It rained on the way in and with the sails wet, we were not able to remove them for storage. There was plenty of work to do, and the next day, sunny and gorgeous, we hoisted the sails to dry at the dock.
What a sight this was to see! The Heritage looked like she was headed up into the wind to make a tack and keep on proudly sailing.
