Now Recruiting to fill a Vacant Position on the Hood River County Energy Council!
The Hood River County Energy Council is now accepting applications for a volunteer Council member to serve a two-year term in 2022 and 2023. The Council was formed to address climate change and energy concerns with a long-term vision and plan. The plan sets goals for reducing community-wide energy consumption and increasing production of local renewable energy. The plan also identifies long-range objectives, strategies, and actions to meet these targets by 2050. The plan was adopted in 2018 by the Hood River County Commission, the Hood River City Council and the Ports of Hood River and Cascade Locks. In adopting the plan by resolution, these agencies have agreed to voluntarily work toward meeting the goals of the plan in a collaborative way. Please see the full posting for details!
