Classes

This collection of classes will take you through fall and winter, and into the spring. We hope there's something for everyone to enjoy. Clicking on the links below will take you directly to each class page.

Series 1: Introduction to Machine Quilting
This class will be taught by Ruth and begin October 12
It's a popular class Ruth has been teaching for a few years now. The Introduction class is for true beginners, covering all the basics for your entry into the quilting world.

Series 2: Beginning Sewing Series
These classes will be taught by Marti and Ruth, and begin October 17.
Brand-new courses at Yankee Pride, these classes are aimed toward people who are new to sewing. We found lots of new sewers during the pandemic, and they want to keep on learning. Beginning Sewing is broken down into four classes, covering accessories and home decor. Take one class, or all four!

Series 3: Technique Workshops
These one-time workshops will be taught by Yankee Pride staff.
We're offering 14 workshops, covering many quilting techniques. Most are basic, but they're things that can be improved in your sewing by learning tips and tricks, and with some practice. Click on the technique for more information or to sign up online:

Inked
by Timeless Treasures
There are some really fun black and white prints out there! This group has dotted swirls, starbursts, and confetti. The black confetti print (background in photo) is really cool! Add some primary colors to these, and have a ball!

Holiday Essentials Halloween
from Stacy Iest Hsu
by Moda
We don't carry much Halloween fabric - it leaves the shop 1/4 yard at a time for four weeks, then sits quietly on the floor for 11 months. But every so often, Judy will add a few bolts to our inventory. These two are great, with their small motifs. You can easily make trick-or-treat bags, placemats, and napkins with either one. The pumpkin print (top in photo) can be used all the way through Fall.
Meadow
by Timeless Treasures
This is our second batch of fabrics from this line, with more gorgeous colors! The light gray (right in photo) will make a wonderful background fabric, in several different quilt genres, and both the red and the purple are really rich-looking pieces - excellent to use as accents, for making your quilt pop.
Kaffe Fassett Collective August 2021
by Free Spirit
It's been a while since we've had new Kaffe in the shop. Judy chose a dozen prints that she thought customers would really like. There are geraniums, caladium leaves, mums, daisies, and more, all in the electric colors that Kaffe loves to use. Have you been wanting to try something new - step out of the box? Pick your favorite print, pair it with some tone-on-tone coordinates, and find a great pattern.
Thank you for being our customer, for supporting us, and thank you for continuing to believe in shopping local.
