Important October Dates
  • Monday, October 11- CLOSED for Columbus Day
  • Wednesday, October 21- Fall Festival at TLC
  • Friday, October 29 - Halloween Celebration- Feel free to dress up and send in nut-free treats!
OCFS Mask Mandate
  • Masks are required to be worn by all children ages 2 years old and up, all staff, and visitors at daycare facilities
  • A failure to adhere to this mandate can jeopardize our license with New York State.
  • We will try to encourage children to wear their masks, provide mask breaks throughout the day, spend as much time outdoors as possible, and of course have them nap mask-free.
  • Please attach their mask to a lanyard.
  • If your child is medically unable to tolerate a mask, may provide a doctor's note stating this and I can keep it on file here at TLC.

For more information, please click here and scroll to page 38 of the New York State Child Day Care Regulations. If you have any concerns you would like to voice, please feel free to reach out to Office of Children and Family Services by sending an email to: info@ocfs.ny.gov.
Speech Evaluations
We are arranging speech evaluations for the end of October. More information along with a consent form will be sent out later this month.
Medicals
Updated forms are needed at the following dates: 3-6-9-12-18 months &
2-3-4-5 years.

You will be reminded as your child's birthday or medical expires.
Please use TLC's form every time.
Medications can be administered with proper doctor's permission and medication that matches. For example: we cannot administer Tylenol if your doctor specified Motrin. It is VERY specific.

All medication must be provided in its original packaging including the cup/syringe. This will ensure proper dispensing of the dose.

If you want medication to be given to your child to manage pain, or if your child has allergies and they require medication, please speak to an MAT trained teacher to check in your forms/medicines.

PLEASE LABEL ALL FOOD ITEMS.

As a reminder, if you would like your child to be fed breakfast, please arrive before 8:45am (Brookside) 8:30am (Merrick Ave).
