HT2 CLIENT UPDATE
Allen Tharp, CPA
After 24 years of dedicated service to Hamilton Tharp, Allen Tharp, Partner, has decided to retire. He leaves a lasting impression on those who had the pleasure of working with him for more than two decades at Hamilton Tharp.

After serving as an airman in the US Navy aboard the USS Constellation, Allen earned his accounting degree from the University of San Diego. Allen worked for several years as an auditor for the financial services division of Checkers, Simon & Rosner (a large CPA firm in Chicago) and Ernst & Young before his joining Hamilton Tharp in 1997. As a licensed CPA and Registered Investment Advisor with a Series 65 license, Allen worked with clients to ensure that they made the most tax-efficient choices.

The Hamilton Tharp team has benefited from Allen’s leadership, passion for learning, and technical expertise. As the champion of the sports division of the firm, Allen provided tax planning, compliance, and financial planning services to many of the professional athletes and sports-related businesses. Most recently, Allen played a key role in the successful setup and implementation of Hamilton Tharp’s virtual platform, which was vital this past year as we navigated serving our clients during a global pandemic.

Please join us in wishing Allen all the best in his retirement!
