Upcoming Classes & Programs
Class sizes are limited, pre-registration is required. Walk-ins will not be accepted in any of these classes. Register by calling, 863-678-4004, ext. 221. Classes with fees must be paid prior to the class.

  • Paint Along Session - Saturday, October 30 - 2 until 4 p.m. Class is limited to 10 participants. Participants will paint along with instruction. Fee = $5, Supplies will be provided (4 openings remain)

  • Glass Painting Class - Saturday, November 6 - 2 until 5 p.m. Instructor, Sharon Creedon - Class is limited to 10 students - Fee = $10 - Supplies will be provided. (3 openings remain)

  • Chair Yoga Class - Tuesdays, 12 until 1 p.m. - Begins October 5 - Class is limited to 10 students. Fee = $5 per class (October's Tuesday classes is full)

  • Chair Yoga Class - Wednesdays, 1 until 2 p.m. - Begins October 13 - Class is limited to 10 students. Fee = $5 per class

  • Beginner Sewing for Teens - Saturday, October 16, 12 until 5 p.m. - Class is limited to 6 pre-registered students, ages 12 through 16. Supplies will be provided.

  • Beginning Sewing for Adults - Monday & Tuesday, November 8 & 9, 2 until 4 p.m. Class is limited to 6 pre-registered students. Supplies will be provided

  • Beginning Sewing for Children - Monday through Wednesday, November 22 - 24, 1 until 3:30 p.m. Class is limited to 6 pre-registered students, ages 9 to 11. Supplies will be provided.

  • Upcoming Classes - Registration not currently open, watch for details.
  • Spanish for Beginners - Begins January 2022

LW Public Library's Intelligent Locker System
The Lake Wales Public Library's Intelligent Locker System is is located at our Main Entrance, this locker system allows safe access to their requested items 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Here are the four basic steps to use the system.

Select Lake Wales Lockers as your Pick-up Location when placing a hold.
Receive notification via text or email when your hold is available.
Pick-up your materials by entering your library card number at the monitor, the locker door will open.
Check out is complete when the locker door opens.

Garden Lane Pass Program

Bok Tower Gardens and the Lake Wales Library Association have partnered to create a unique program that allows library patrons to check out passes to Bok Tower Gardens for up to four adults and up to six children.

The Garden Lane Pass provides a one week gate pass to adult card holders, in good standing. Restrictions on some services apply.

Lake Wales Public Library's Local Artist Gallery

The Lake Wales Public Library is honored to exhibit the works of Lake Wales artist, Angela Pulido Wadsworth. Angela's works will be displayed in the Local Artist Gallery September 1 - October 8.

Angela's current show features paintings of life in Cuba, the country she has a personal connection to. She dedicated the show to her parents who immigrated from Cuba decades ago. Don't miss the opportunity to view these vivid acrylic works.

Renowned Watercolor artist and instructor, Cathy Futral will exhibit her beautiful works in the Local Artist Gallery October 9 through October 31. A long time resident of Frostproof, Cathy now resides on the west coast of Florida. We are excited to provide our community the opportunity to view the works of these talented women.

Artists featured in the Local Artist Gallery during the remainder of 2021 include:

Win a Fun Halloween Gift Basket

Join our Halloween Gift Basket drawing. Tell us your favorite scary movie or story and you'll be entered into a drawing for this basket. It's just that easy. Email the title of your favorite scary movie, book or story to Library Email or stop by the library to enter. Include your name and contact information. We'll draw on Friday, October 22.

Our gift basket instructor, Amy Lindblade, created this fun Halloween basket as part of her Gift Basket 1.0 video found at Gift Basket Class. Amy is a former LW Public Library employee who now owns Kuzzly Designs, a craft supply company found on many social media outlets.
