Roman and Jewel
By Dana L. Davis
When the hip-hop inspired musical Roman and Jewel comes to Broadway, Jerzie Jhames desperately wants the lead role. Unfortunately, the lead goes to Cinny, while Jerzie is relegated to a role as her understudy. And worse, both Jerzie and Cinny are falling for Zeppelin Reid, the male lead. Soon after a rehearsal video goes viral, people all over the world are weighing in on who should play Jewel. There is only one thing Jerzie knows for sure: star-crossed love always ends badly.
The Four Winds
By Kristin Hannah
Texas, 1934. The Great Depression has hit the Great Plains hard, and soon drought is upon them. Crops are failing and water is drying up, and farmers are trying to keep their land, but they are losing. Elsa Martinelli knows she has a difficult decision ahead of her. Does she stay on the land she loves and hope she can weather the storm, or does she go west, to California? In a time when everything seems hopelessly uncertain, will Elsa's choice prove wise, or will she regret it?
