Human Resources Update
At the work session, Dr. Cindy Salloum presented an update on behalf of the Human Resources Department. The presentation covered FCS staff growth, including the 778 new hires since June 2022, school administration updates, and a certified recruitment summary.
Finance Report
This month's financial update included year-to-date budget reports, cash accounts holding debt service funds, a summary of investments held, a budget summary for special revenue funds, a roll-forward of capital projects and school food services cash, SPLOST activity for the month of September 2022, and a breakdown of cash held by individual schools. The Board approved a 10-year tax abatement for the SOFO Sports Camp, LLC. The facility, which will be located over 62 acres, is projected to draw athletes of all ages from across the country for baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball, cheer, pickleball, e-sports, and full-circle training.
